Hermes Agent v0.21.0 adds Bot Mode, agent-to-agent group chats
Nous Research released Hermes Agent v0.21.0 on August 31, 2026. The big new feature is "Bot Mode": named agents that stay running and can chat with each other in groups. It also adds scheduled tasks that remember past context, live control over sub-agents, and a dashboard for managing all of it. This follows several smaller updates through August.
Why it matters
If you run several Hermes agents together, this update changes how they behave: your scheduled tasks and agent settings may work differently now. Read the release notes and test it before updating a system you depend on.
