Soar launches its AI travel agent after a year in beta
Soar came out of beta and launched in 2026 after about a year of testing, according to PhocusWire's Startup Stage series. It's an AI travel agent you text: it connects to your Gmail to automatically track every flight, hotel, and Airbnb booking, builds a traveler profile from your inbox, and checks you in for flights, handles changes, and gives in-trip support over iMessage. The company is backed by former Expedia CEO Erik Blachford.
Why it matters
This puts Soar in the same race as MindTrip and Odessia: agents that manage the trips you've already booked, not just plan new ones. Worth watching if you're already deep in the Gmail-connected travel-agent category, not urgent otherwise.
